RT 1000 cooler removal

Does anyone know if you can loop the two cooler hoses together after you remove the rear cooler? Thanks Shawn

I remember some talk of a 'knock out' you could remove in the cooler so you could just cap the two nipples (they would be connected inside the cooler)
