I know this was covered before, but don't know how to find the old thread. With declining snow conditions, and over salting and scraping of city streets. I'm going to purchase some ski wheels. Am leaning towards the qualipieces, wich look to be the better product, but a buddy can get me a deal on the rouski's. Could save almost a hundred bucks. But it's not a deal if I don't like, or break them. Just looking for some input from people that have used the product and not some you tube moron that during a ski wheel clip takes two minutes to explain how he puts the key in his sled! Could you please just tell me how you like the wheels!!!

I have Rouski's on my Cat TZ1 Turbo and my wife's Renegade 900 Ace Enduro. Both of these sleds have seen many miles on the wheels with zero failures. No problems other than a bit of rust as they age. I have the newest Qualipieces rollerskis on my 850 Renegade XRS. The Qualipieces seem a bit simpler, lighter for sure and less steel to rust. Haven't run them much yet, just around the yard....BTW CanGadeX they do clear with aggressive snow trackers on pilot 5.7 skis....

I have two sets of wheels for our sleds. The problem is, even when retracted they will catch weeds and twigs and create a spray of snow that comes up and hits you when riding in loose snow. Sure, they're great for road riding and gas stations but beyond that they are a bit of a nuisance. I have the retrax wheels

Thanks everyone, just the input I was looking for. I think I'll spend the extra on the qualipieces. I did not know about the retrax brand. But I do go off Trail alot so I don't think they're my choice. And of course I forgot to mention 2022 expy sport 600efi with ds 2's. Thanks again I knew I would receive honest qualified input on doo talk

I would think the qualpiece and rouski would also throw snow but of course it would have to be deeper since they sit a few inches higher.. Even with 3" of fresh snow the retrax shower the rider with powder.

I have purchased 3 sets of Rollerskis over the past 5 years. A set for my MachZ and 2020 900 Turbo XRS and a set for my MXZ XRS. They have been pretty good and I really like having ski wheels.. I ride a fair amount of saddlepack tours in Quebec and knock down around 6 - 7k miles a season on the 4 strokes. I beat the 2 stroke up here on Tug Hill.

I bent both main axles on the Rollerskis last year on my Mach. Not sure how or why, I wasn't "snocrossing" the 900 or anything crazy. I was pretty pissed when Qualipieces would NOT replace the axles under warranty. I normally do not post much negative stuff, but they really dropped the ball not replacing the parts. They had my data in the system, they know I have been a repeat customer, and they couldn't squeeze 2 axles out on warranty.

So now my ski wheels have a lot of positive camber because Qualipieces wanted to save a few bucks.

In2racn... I'm curious as to what happened. I know you already posted that you don't know how they bent, but do you know if the wheels were down when it happened?

We've got a group of 4 guys with tens of thousands of combined km on the Rollerskis without a failure among us. You mentioned positive camber. When the wheel are down, do the rub on the skis now?

Well, it just seems that they slowly bent over time. It wasn't one big impact or hit, just slowly appeared over time my wheels were tipping outward toward the skis. barely noticeable at first, then more and more pronounced.

My trailer does have the fold down ramp so this is not the issue. I am 260, I backpack with gear and fuel onboard a Mach Z. Maybe just too heavy? I am now 60 years old, I don't pound the sled with the wheels down heading to the gas station. Somewhere along my 9200 miles on my Mach, I obviously stressed them more than designed. I love the wheels. My issue is that Qualipieces wouldn't cover the axles to a customer that has already purchased 3 sets of Rollerskis.

I have them on TX skis that require you to drop the ski when you change carbides. Needless to say a bent spindle bolt doesn't make this easy.

I've heard of them getting bent loading the sled in trailer . With out having a bent piece of metal between the door frame and trailer deck . Therefore allowing wheels drop into gap , the same as your talking about a curb . I have a 50" piece of metal that I bent to about 30 degrees and welded a couple tabs on the bottom so it doesn't jump out , works great. Lets face it, there not ment to be abused,, which you are told in the instructions . I'm almost positive he knows how he bent them and is trying to get them replaced for free .
