Is the MXZ Rev-XS much different than the Rev-XP chassis? Thinking of upgrading my wifes 06 REV with a new sled and the price on a new MXZ600 carb Sport XP sure is enticing, around $4000 less than a TNT 600etec XS ...

Well the XS is an etec...but even at $4k, its not worth the upgrade. Even if mpg was half as good with the XP as the XS (10 compared to 20), you'd have to drive 10,000 miles to cover the price (and that's assuming the etec has a $2k higher resale value).

Thanks for the info. I don't think the upgrade to an XS is worth it for the amount of kms we put on in a year. My wife if not picky, she just wants Estart, reverse, and the same power as her current sled. Oh and it must be a yellow or black Doo :excl:

So changes to the plastic + a new name = way more $$ in BRP's pocket!!!!
yeah thats it....

i will make a note that the frame of a snowmobile must change in order for an OEM can charge more $$$ for the new sled and line their pockets. Never mind the new front end, R-motion, better wind coverage, glove box, forward footwells....nah none of that stuff really counts.

to me the sport versions are the best deal that brp has(mxz, rene&summit).i like the look of the xs chassis but the xp is definitely an upgrade from the rev.my wifes sleds have always had motion control shocks and theyve been fine.that 600 carb motor is good and dependable, only downside is you have to use choke.order it with elec start and shes good to go
