I’m starting to restore a 68 super Olympic this week. Any tips I should know before I start?
this is my first 68 skidoo I’m restoring.

FYI I’m not taking that skidoo sticker off.
I’ll paint around it.

Nice sled and it's going to look even better after the restoration.
That was their slogan for 1968, get the decal remade so you can do a thorough paint job.
Cleaning the gas tank and making sure there aren't any leaks should be top priority after you strip it down. I recommend POR gas tank liner in these applications, it works well for eliminating the rust and also puts a coating on the inside of the tank.
GOOSE r is a good spot for all of your parts. http://reproductionvintageparts.com/dir/index.php

thanks for the reply 12/3.
I do know Goose. This isn’t my first restoration. The outside of the tank is rust/rot free so that tells me it’s probably clean on the inside of the tanks.
where could i get the skidoo slogan sticker made? Thx
