Have an 03 800 REV. Have had some clunking when starting from a dead stop, like a drag run. Something clunks multiple times as I power up. I have read alot on here lately about the RER and it's clunking and that that is normal. If it is, then does it do it once at launch off or multiple times through the powerband. A couple of people on here said that my track might be too loose so I did tighten it up a bunch, but what it the "right" tension, what Ski Doo says or looser or what? Thanks in advance for all the replies, this is my first Ski Doo and first REV model and have been super impressed with everything else so far.

I think the clunk happens because the spring can only load tension one way
on the clutch. However it could also be the drive sprocket in the track windows.
There is some space between forward and reverse , this would also cause a
clunk.

RER will clunk once after using it.Sounds like it could be track ratcheting.
Tighten the track and also check your chain tension. This info is in your owners manual.
