replacing crank seal

I'm replacing the crank seal in an '04 800 h.o. and I want to be sure I'm looking at the right thing. I see it as a 3" diameter rubber seating into the crank case. If that's it wondered if there were any tips on digging that thing out of there.

Just pry it out. Use a chisel or gasket scraper to pry the edge out.
