rave valve bolts

The 2 bolts that hold the rave valves in come in 2 sizes. Could someone tell me (please) which side the longer bolts go on? Clutch or exhaust? Thanks

Insert a small wire or pick into each hole to determine which is deeper.

They are both the same depth as the long bolts. I read once on a thread here (could not find it again) that you have to be careful which side they go on. Anyone else?

I looked that up on the BRP parts fisch and the bolts are the same length, for both the cap and the rave valve itself. I'm wondering if someone didn't pull a fast one on ya????

Personally I've never heard of different length bolts in the RAVE valves on any model REV. Maybe go to the dealer and get 4 new ones - that way you'll be sure you have the correct size.

I just had my RAVEs off and all the bolts are the same size.

I'm thinking the same. I have cleaned my raves on every sled I have the past decade or so and they were all the same size....I think

If the only thing you have apart is the valves, the bolts on each side should be the same length. If your bolts are a different length someone probably lost one at some point and replaced it with a shorter one. I'd be willing to bet you will find it under the motor.

If you have the y-pipe off, the longer bolts are for that. They usuallly have a lock washer.
