First time out. Weve had snow but this is the first time ive been prepared to get the sled out (and enough snow to do so).

First couple were from the ride Saturday with my son. Wells to Salisbury club house and back. Watched a little of the drag race event that was going on.

Only grabbed one pic on Sunday. Sacandaga Reservoir to Lake Desolation and back.

This Saturday I was headed up a ravine in Doken area and Harley Quinn decided to try killing me. She started to wheelie and wouldn’t rotate to either side. I bailed only to fall straight down into her tomahawk downswing with the bars hitting me directly on my right thigh. The impact was so hard it bent the steering stem 30-40 degrees. I instantly felt like I had warm liquid dripping down my leg, but I didn’t want to look as I knew that would only make it hurt worse. I had to adjust the bars and had one heck of a ride out.

The last one is of me grabbing my leg where it was hurt. Couple hours later.

This was by the time I made it to the hospital about 5 hours later.

And by the next morning.

Today the yellows are making an appearance, also a water blister on the point of impact.

Todays lesson is that you shouldn’t sacrifice yourself for your machines sake.

It isn’t pleasant I can tell you that. But only 3rd day in and I can walk on it fine. If I was forced to do a squat I may pass out as the bending still hurts bad.
