That is a beautiful shot. In North Eastern Ontario we are having the best winter in years
Same here. Last winter was pretty pathetic as far as snowfall in SW Colorado. This winter is shaping up to be a very good one. Last snowfall was a week ago. Local weather forecaster (who is fairly accurate on snowfall predictions) says we can expect another 2' dump next weekend.

Wife and I rode the iron range in MN this weekend. Trails were great with really limited traffic since it was pretty cold. All the bars were packed though!

IMO best riding to be had in Minnesota is up in the Arrowhead region... beautiful country.

I'd assume that just like our National Forests out here in the west, you can ride off trail within the Superior NF (except for the BWCA obviously)... is that true?

I honestly don't know if national forest land is open to off trail riding here in MN. I know I saw a lot of stay on the trail signs and my wife wouldn't be too keen on exploring off the trail. There were some unplowed fire roads that were pretty temping though with the 4ft base they have.
You'd think those unplowed fire roads within the forest would be fair game. Definitely would be a whole lot of fun busting that out with a Summit.

That last one was on the main trail in the am. They called for 3-6" and got over 30". It was a great day, couldn't see anything most of it though. Not a bad problem to have.
Nice.

We ended up with close to 3 ft over the past 24 hrs. No riding for me today... spent most of the day running the snowblower. I need to get out tomorrow and pack out some of my single tracks before the next round.
