What could be causing the belt to squeal upon slow throttle application on buddy's '02 Polaris XC-700? It is a new belt and clutches are clean. Any thoughts?

Poor alignment,worn belt (glazed),improper belt deflection....that is assuming its the correct belt....

If the belt is good, it might be the bushings in the secondary...we had that prob. with our 04 xc's...

I agree with all of these, your buddy should just trade it in for a Doo..it's hopeless
