Bullet proof sled. Had a 250 and 300 for the kids years go. Could not kill them.

I grew up on that same sled!!! You could run that right to the bar in the trails and never turn the skis just push your foot into the foot rest as hard as you could and she would slide the direction you wanted to go!! Always keeping my eye out for the Exctier 440 of that year. The black and gold mean machine

That sled is better than "Nice condition". Anything that does not come in boxes is in nice condition. LOL Good luck with it.

I plan to hopefully restore it, needs a few cosmetic things and the front suspension and skid need refinished. I also want to teach my nephew to ride with it, he’s 8 now.

Would trail ride the 300 sometimes. Right foot would get so hot you thought your boot would melt. I was a site riding down the fields with my foot up in the air trying to cool it down.

I had a 1980 for a season...Took it to a trip in Eagle River in 1991. Suspension was miserable..My buddies had a 84 SRV and 86 Phazer that rode so much better...But it was fun.

Purchased it un-running and rebuilt the engine with pistons, rings, crank seals, etc. Sold it in summer of 93, didn't snowmobile any more(school).

I also grew up on those, 250s and then the big 340 twins when we got a little older. I thought those 340s were the nicest sleds ever made.

Just a few years ago I sold a mint 340T, just like 440revNL's but red. Should have kept it but limited garage space, it went to a nice family, mechanic with kids.
