So... I bought some BRP reinforcements new online without seeing them and am not fond of the color (lava red too orange). After trying to sell them (cheap) in favor of some darker red ones I am thinking of painting them. Anyone have luck painting anything like this with quality automotive paint? Or would it just flake off since your feet will rub on them? Any thoughts comments or ideas?

I have some on a ten-year-old sled that were powder coated, and still look great. There is no way they would have lasted like that with paint.
Thanks guys! That's what I thought too! Guess I'll cut my losses on these and get the right color. Powder coat may cost more than a new set minus what I sell these for.
