Challenge. When we stop after a ride I open my shield to participate in typical conversation. If i don't wipe/dry my shield and outer chin piece, I'll experience freezing to the point that my shield won't lock into place. I don't wear a balaclava and have been told this is my problem. I've checked YouTube and there's nothing about this.

I wear one and I still have the same problem. These helmets are too sealed and condensation formes around the visor, when I open mine I shake my head so that the condensation drops fall off it helps but not when it is very cold.

Thx for the feed back. I donthe same to get the moisture drops off. I've talked with so many people and they all indicated no issues. Do you wear a balaclava?6

in my group we all ride oxygen helmets. What you Describe happens to all of us. We have a Fix that works some of the time. Apply vasoline to bottom of the shield every morning

thx for the comments...Vaseline is nasty to deal with at the best of times..but I'll try it

i think chapstick would be a better choice than vaseline
