interesting fact; gas prices have remained the same, +/- ten cents a gallon, adjusted for inflation, for the last 42 years ! remember that you'll always see spikes for geopolitical issues, weather or the need for the oil companies to throw a little extra stuffing in their pockets. gas prices have spiked over $ 4. a few times.

Got. 70 cents off at Safeway gas and was $2.65, so about $3.35/gal in most places. Out near where I live they are usually about 7% more (taxes).

Watched the price drop from Monday to Thursday from $3.70 a gallon down to $2.90, but then on Friday it jumped back up to $3.25 and on Saturday it was $3.45.

We are $2.92-$3.15 from here to Portland which is about 100 miles. Typically less up here than the city which is an oil port for ships. We all know it costs minus 15 cents per gallon to truck the stuff inland.

My youngest is currently in California, she says the cheapest gas she has seen is over $4.00/gallon, in some places its over $8.00!
