nitrous kits !!

have a XRS 800 summit coming and was thinking of turboing, or going with a nitrous kit. i was just wondering if any of you with experience with these, if you could point a guy in the right direction. i trail ride in the praries along with a bit of ditch banging, then head out to revy a few times a year. i would like something reliable, (so i don't need to be flown out).
-what are the pros and cons of the different kits from personal your experience, and how will they work with the new 800 R motor?
i am green in the nitrous aspect of sledding, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a turbo rev and it requires maintenance and tweaking, Noss is very reliable but only for short bursts most of the noss kits are good I have tried boss noss and Ice Nitrous. Both work well the ice is easier to adjust since there is not any adjusting the Boss requires some tuning.

I have an Ice Nitrous setup for sale if interested.

Boss Noss
off the shelf I think the Ice nos is the best. Having said that I am going with the cold fusion kit. with some tweaking it will be much better than the ice Kit. why??? It has two nozzles in stead of one so it is a true direct port kit and is more tuneable. Dont put the nozzles in the carbs though. thats where they tell you to put them. Mine will be squirting down the carb throats from the back of the air box
thanks for the info, but there must be a few more with real world experience that could possibly lend a hand.
such as:
-which kit , and why ?
-with the carbon fiber bottle , how many hits do you get on the button, Approximately, i know it will depend on how long you hold it?(ex, 10, 10sec pulls)
-the other question is on these different kits, is there a difference of how long you can hold the button, what is the average time a person would hold the button, i know it is all relative. just looking for a few guesstimates to try and get on the proper path, to know if i should invest or not.

sorry if some of these questions are stupid to you that have been around this NOS for awhile. but i am interested in learnig the ropes... if, i find it will suite my riding style, and if it is RELIABLE. feel free to add anything i may have missed that you think would be important in my decision making!

once again thanks to all the knowledgeable dootalkers for helping the little people

i ve got boondockers 2.5# aluminum bottle and i can get about 25-30 10sec shots i chose this kit cause it is pretty much a plug a play kit little tuning needed i ve had great luck w/ it working every time w/ no problems oh yeah i had it on a 04 summit pretty much stock motor
boondockers for me also, never have to touch it once its set.
The BigThunder guys are getting 140mph on tar. Call Dave Dunn at 616-299-6590. Tell him Barry sent ya.
For just occasional mountain riding...do not turbo, you need to be wot for a turbo to be helpful. I put a holtzman nitrous kit on my sled last year, and i wouldnt go back. make sure when buying a nitrous kit you get one with equalized pressure ...ie there is always the same ratio of nitrous to fuel, so as the bottle gets empty and has less pressure, there will be less fuel injected as well, makes a more reliable shot. Also when you get your kit, buy a toggle switch and wire it in as an armin switch, had a few close calls with other people on my sled hitting the gogo button at idle.......as much as i want my airbox blown off. the biggest selling point of nitrous for me was that if for some reason it is not working, shut your bottle off and run all day without it, whereas a turbo or major engine mods can mean a tow out if it fails.
as for the amount you get out of a bottle, i run a 3 lb bottle and a 50 hp shot. i get 90 sec total spray time. i wouldnt recommend spraying more than 9 - 10 sec a time. but trust me, it would be rare to need 10 sec of spray. if you use it as you need it, it should only be a 3 - 4 sec hit.
If you have any questions pm me.
