Pronger does not play anymore due to post concussion syndrome. It's really a shame; he still gets frequent headaches. The eye injury did not help, either. He is on LTIR for a few more years.

He still helps out with scouting and speaking with young defensemen.

Sadly, he's never coming back.

Just to let you guys know, I pm'd Bob to ask him a question about changing this thread into a poll thread. He said that we will wait a little bit because, "I deal with VerticalScope's chief technology officer and he's scratching his head..The guy is super smart, so it's not like some low level tech is looking at it." In other words, there is still hope about getting the thread back.

And if/when it comes back alive, everyone who uses the thread should thank him. His job is in no way easy with all the errors that have occurred in the past, and I know most of us would never have the patience or ability to deal with VS in a sensible manor, so give credit where credit is due.

As much of a pain he has been for us and many other teams, I always thought he was a great defenseman. He really understood the 'center is the third defenseman' style of play and made it work really well, especially getting out of the thier own zone. That's a bummer to hear.

Just watched on sportscenter the highlights of the Boston/Philly game.

1st game of the season and the boys were fighting already!!

Good start to the season. Even though I can't watch the games yet. Every time I call Bell to order the TVA package I get some guy who can't speak into a phone properly and doesn't know what hockey is.
