Hey everyone. So I told you guys that u was leaning twards the new skandic WT 900 ace and today I brought it home. when I unloaded it, it had .5 miles on it and now it has 5.

Played around the house for a bit with the wife and kids and I notice a strange smell. I'm assuming it is a "new sled smell" but I want to make sure. Smells like hot plastic and rubber. Also the track is really squeaky.

This is the first sled I have ever bought brand new and I don't know what to expect. Please chime in on this. I feel like a nervous new daddy. Kinda scared to touch and hold it.

I am toward the end of the break-in on a couple of 900 ACE Renegades. Around 300 miles. First 100 miles, the smell of hot metal was apparent. Since then the smell is not as noticeable unless we run them a little harder and longer.

As far as the track squeaking. I would call the dealer and see if they will take a look at it. It could be that the track alignment is off. You could check that yourself.

I too was nervous about all the technology and did not want to screw something up. I am starting to get used to taking assembles off this sled. I think they are well made and not hard to work on. But I am very careful regardless.
