New photo Gallery ----------- POOR

Just tried to make a new album on the new gallery - not happy. You can only load one picture at a time and if the file is to large --good luck. The old format resized automatically and you could load many pictures at one sitting. Either give us good directions as to how to post and change pic sizes or please bring back the old method ---- sorry for the rant, but my old album had three years worth of trail shots that had over 3,200 hits -- I guess I was not the only one who liked the collection.

We were not ready to release the photo gallery, but when we got hacked, I rushed it onto the site. It has NOT been configured yet. If we ever get the site performance issues figured out we will start to work on these other things.

I most certainly agree. Once again just voicing my opinion, loved the old gallery. I will find a new host for my gallery and post them there and run a link in my signature or something.
Here are my opinions on the new Gallery http://www.dootalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=113288
Well...the gallery move was a tough decision. The reasons for the move were:

- Integrated Security With the forums
- Fixes the problem of all the empty photo albums that we had before
- Allows for image searching, which had been requested
- Allows for a 'recently uploaded image' feature, which had been requested
- Allows for a 'random image' feature, which had been requested
- Common Product between all three DOOTalk, LLC sites
- Easier to move galleries to different servers when necessary (an all too often event)

So, I'll admit is not a better product in all ways. It did address a pretty good list of features that were requested and fixed some of the things folks complained about before. We will continue to evaluate Gallery products, but for now, we're going to see what we can do with the current product.
