I have these for my 21 Renegade. They are much improved from the previous version and fit better with the handguards in place. The old one were not at a good angle with the hooked bars and made it tight to the top of the switches. The new ones are at the proper angle and have more room inside. The new one are not intended to go over the handguards and fit nicely behind them. The hand guard mounted mirrors also still work with these. The openings over the bar and cables seal better and the magnets works great. The only issue I have had is the dart being bigger and hard to get into the grip end when it is cold. When in the warm garage it was no problem. Just be prepared to use a screwdriver or punch to stretch the rubber the first couple times you install them.
Would a dab of dish soap help with the dart? Like on the windshield I put a dab of dish soap on to pop into the grommets.

Ugh thanks everyone, now I have to order a set...sigh.

What gloves does everyone run with them? I've never had muffs before, and hand warmth is the one thing I occasionally struggle with. Have the warmest gloves FXR makes which are massive and bulky, presumably with these it's better to get something a bit thinner?

Lots of people run with thin, mechanic type gloves from what I hear. Or even a lesser version of what you have but just run heat on low.

I wear a FXR Black Ops style glove. Thin, waterproof, good grip and touch screen compatiable. I have bad hands now as well and swear by muffs after trying them a few years ago.

You will love being able feel the bars with thin gloves. I pretty much just leave the muffs on all the time now because I love the dexterity that small gloves gives.

I have the same issue as you. I had the best fxr gloves with heat up quite high, still cold hands.
Bought the muffs and ride with a thin Arctica glove. Even on cold days my hand warmers are usually at 1 and thumb at 0. It's awesome.

Anyone have a pic of these new style muffs installed behind the hand guards?

I prefer the new ones more room inside and like the magnet vs the velcro. Either will work it's up to you to justify the extra cost. I couldn't find my old ones so needing a new pair I went with the new style. Of corse I ended up finding the old ones....

I love the Klim liner 2.0 gloves with mine. You can ride down to about 0f and still have warm hands, best of all they work with your phone, so no need to take them off when you stop to grab a picture or such.

I’m going to order a set of 3.0 liners for this year to try on the really cold days.

I started with the Klim 2.0 liners but I found that they were a bit too thin for me for spirited riding and my hands would get raw in spots. Had to go slightly thicker palm support. I'll have to check out the 3.0's.

What happens if the pin breaks? At least w/ the older version, the 'Christmas trees' are available @ your local auto parts store.

I've been using the muffs on an XS Blizzard since 2019 & wearing Mechanix gloves, even in northern Ontario.

No need for me to upgrade.

I really want a set of the new muffs. Problem is, I've grown fond of the finger throttle. BRP says the muffs are a no-no using the finger throttle. Pretty obvious why. I suppose I could bite the bullet and go back to the conventional throttle. :)

Are they waterproof? The Doo grip gloves are - and that's pretty important to me.

BUT… if you use the finger guard (if running the Munster), it could probably be fine. That's what I am going with. That's also why I was wondering about the muffs fitting over a set of regular hand guards, to see if it would hold the muff away from the throttle.

I don’t think they are fully waterproof. I keep a set of Klim fusion gloves in my glove box for anytime I need to get in the snow. The nice thing, they will slip right overtop of the liners. I don’t normally get my gloves in the snow when trail riding. If it is going to snow when riding, I will choose a waterproof set that I have for safe measure.

My throttle is the standard 900 ACE reversible setup. It doesn't take much pressure to accelerate. Being Peter Pan,the kid in me says give it a try anyway. My old guy brain says don't do something stupid, like I usually do. Question is, who wins this round of dumbass? ;)

Definitely look a lot nicer than the old style imo. Wonder if I could get them to fit on the XS chassis handlebars
