YUP. for touring sleds

1300 is already out in the Lynx.

The 800 v-twin is also out in the Lynx Yeti. Same engine as the Outlander 800... The 800 is getting great reviews, much smoother then the 1300, although the 1300 is the torque-monster; 160 Nm!!!

Why not a PSI genesis 1800, or is 360hp not enough for you?

HOW ABOUT A FREESTYLE LONGTRACK WITH A 400 OUTLANDER ENGINE. FACT OR FICTION? YOU DECIDE. BUT DON'T BE TOO SURPRISED.

the 400 & 800 v-twin don't run enouph rpm for sleds do they? What kinds of gears would they be running?

what engine does bombi have with a 1500cc super charged?

I would like to see a 1500 v-twin in the RT! 4-stroke. It's allready heavy!

That is the 1500 intercooled supercharged 4 stroke. The super charged version (sans intercooler) is 185 and the plain old 1500 is 155. The 1500 was the same motor that was in the Elite. It has some serious power, but it is pretty heavy. I doubt it would ever be practical in a sled. They do have a Sea-Doo sport boat with twin intercooled super charged 1500s. 430 horsepower in a tiny boat would really haul "edit for bad language".

I think the 800 outlander has about 60 horsepower. The 650 is just a sleeved down version of the 800. The motors are pretty much identical except for the displacement.

I have the sea-doo with the intercooled, 1.5 liter, fuel injected supercharged three cylinder! amazing boat/motor (still only does 70 MPH though with all that motor)

it has been a flawless flrist year motor too!

if doo wanted to make a 4-stroke sled they could but why?? 4-strokes are inferior in every way to two strokes where weight is EVERYTHING!

and the 1.5 liter, will NEVER fit in a sled, not with closed loop cooling and a super charger, and it is WAY TOO HEAVY! but in a sea-doo the added weight is welcomed-

if you want a 4-stroke why not switch to yammie or cat, why ruin the doo sled line like they did...

No they aren't.
Strapping on 2-3 jugs of oil for a week long hi-mile PQ trip, or worrying about where to buy it, is a big pain in the butt. The cost is not negligible at $40/jug. Not to mention the smell. I've got one buddy who just went to Yammi from a 600HO. And another who just went from a 4 stroke to a 600SDI. He's missing his 4 stroke.
There's no way 4 strokes are for everybody, but Doo will lose market share if they neglect those who they are for. And there's a lot of them.
