SO here Comes the woe's

2002 mxz 800 renegade trail mpeg system, Pull start No reverse

1st run 20 mile Lots of bumps ran great (trail riding)
2nd run 40 miles smooth with 40 mph bumps with a Holy **** bump coming off a steep hill (little ditch riding, Trail)
3 total 60 miles about 45 miles into it. smooth riding till I hit bumps that made you do 10 mph over them. Then shortly after That the trouble started! Headlights went dim, turn off hand warmers/thumb warmers Still the same. Noticed my tac wasn't working either. stopped looked at plugs wires, everything seems fine sat took a break for 10 min (bull****ting) went to leave my lights was back to full strength. Rpm was working till I hit about 4 grand and poof lights dim! no tac And here comes the monkey wrench! when I hit the brakes the tac and the headlights went back to normal when coming to a stop and when I sat there I can rev to 3k rpm they were fine till after I hit 4 then poof dim and no tac
started at the headlight unit checked all wires down the line everything seems legit
all wires and plugs looked good (unplug check re dielectric grease)
found both a brown wire and white wire going them thumb warmer that wire was showing at the tip of plug no way for them to touch each other tho.

So Couldn't find the body ground So I got my tester out and check for continuity started with the tail light

Here comes another monkey! check to see if the wires in the tail light for continuity all 3 wires buzz when I hooked 1 end to the brake line and the other end to the plug. did this for all 3 wires. Then I decided to find out what one was the Ground wire. All 3 wires buzz when trying to ground 1 at a time. also, I could have the red lead on one of the wires and I could connect the other lead to another color and it still buzzing. but doing this we we testing to all the plugs. The white wire to the brakes stop buzzing when I unplugged the hood cluster wires I had that red lead on white wire and the black lead on a ground.
Also No lost of power No issue starting
When testing the Hood plug (goes to cluster/ headlight seems that big thick yellow was a ground also?
question # 1 They shouldn't buzz at all right only the ground one? Or am i missing something here?
question #2 Dose someone know where the Actual ground is located on this machine . the service manual dose not say where ,but only for ones with battery and starters

Sounds to me like the tail light harness under the tank or seat has been squashed. Common. I'd pop the seat off. Prepare to cuss some more. Seat bolts are likely heavily rusted. They're under the tunnel.

Chassis ground??? Checking.

Nice. If I ever have to pull a seat again I'll try to mod it with studs, or just one stud between the exchanges like that.

So video shows what i found doing a continuity test .

also anyone know where the chassis ground is on this i couldn't find one. so i made one myself going to 2 spots one where the voltage reg bolts to and one from the pull start to the bolt that holds the handlebar at the base to the frame both spots are grounded to motor

the wire going to the brake like was clean and in casing sitting on top of the hoses as u can see in pic.
