I have a 05 mxzx 440 with a 03 600 ho engine and clutches I put a smt2 helix in the secondary and added 4.5 gram weights to the primary, also running 21/45 gearing. Seems to pull fine but pulses from around 7700 to 8000rpm both clutches set on the #4 position. anyone know what I should do to get around 8000-8200 and get rid of the pulsing?

This is the setup to run with my smt2 helix

175/350 or 200/350 primary clutch spring

412 or 410 ramps (415 ramps are too revvy off the bottom end)

Clicker #4 for 8100 rpms

231/303 purple skidoo secondary spring (#417127062)

SMT2 helix (spring cover and swivel washer MUST be in place)

If you have pipe surging, that can be caused from too high of engagement speed, changed base gasket to thinner cylinder base gasket, too high of fuel octane 95, 98…need to run maximum 91~92.

And one of the worst enablers - Running with no heat shields on exhaust pipe
