I would like to move all the switchs off of the handle bars to the dash.
Does anyone have pics of this or have done it themselves

Very nice...so the numbering sequence that you provided in the chart...does that correspoind with position in the housing in this pic? Sorry for asking so many questions on this and THANKS for the link...but when you are color blind...I can about only figure out black and whiteHere's a couple tips to make it easier.
Don't just cut an splice the wires. Remove the pins from the plugs and install new pins on the ends of the new 440 style switches, then insert the pins in the plugs.
You can get new pins, switches and everything you need from your dealer. Just ask for the 440 light, and kill switches, the ZX chassis toggle switches and rubber nipples for the hand and thumb warmers and the rubber RER button from the ZX chassis. You can buy male and female spade connectors at your local hardware store.
Here's how to remove the pins from the plugs.
Yes it would be easier - but easy isn't always better. I like the clean custom look of the switches instead of the switch block. I don't need all the controls at my thumb tip, on the console is where I prefer them.Wouldn't it be easier to just mount the stock swithes off the bar onto the console and plug it back in?
Thats what I did to my old RT and in my opinion its a pain in the a$$ and doesn't look as clean, next time im using switches.Wouldn't it be easier to just mount the stock swithes off the bar onto the console and plug it back in?
That B&W pic is from my shop manual CD.yup, i mounted the switch cluster in between my fly riser arms......looked goofy and moved around a bit
next time ill wire up a bunch switches.....make it look like a spaceship![]()
Irondog - how come that pic is B&W?....how long have you had that camera....thanks for the illustrated help as always![]()

That's $50 + parts and shipping.Ill give you $50 for one.
Not even close. Here's the parts list. This doesn't even include the heat shrink tubing, spade connectors or beer.id imagine that harness would sale like hot cakes
$100????
Can you buy a similar RER switch from the store? The switches from doo are a rip off. i bought all that stuff for under 50 bucks.
Go to any local electronics store (not the box stores) and you can get identical switches for under $10 each.
making a kit is a good idea though.
Well I tried that first, the toggle switches I bought at an electronics store were crap. When I screwed the rubber nipples onto them they wouldn't even stay in the "on" position. The switches from BRP are at least quality switches. The switches from doo are a rip off. i bought all that stuff for under 50 bucks.
