guess that depends on how you use it. Barn I work out of is similar but we use a 150k torpedo... but then we use the door allot.

Ask Jerry...

That space should require aprox 38,000 BTU as discribed. 45,000 will heat it if the over head door is not opened, 60,000 will recovery much faster when the door is opened. Modine are good units. I sell Reznor 60,000 Nat. direct vent (out through side wall instead of the roof) $641.34 + tax

This post has nothing to do with the thread.
I am shamelessly trying to clear POOSUCKS from the last postings....

Something about seeing that ID....

PM me....I will do a heatloss for you to figure just what you need.

I will need:
Celing Height
size of builing
number of windows/doors and locations (which walls they're on)
Whether or not their is heated space below/above
whether or not their is insulation around the foundation
Whether or not the walls are insualted and how much
Are the windows double/single pane
Is the ceiling insulated

Let me know.....I'll size it with my program and help you pick a unit if you need it....

I have sold many of them. They are great units and can vent out any wall or roof.
They have a high velocity fan to push the heat to the floor..
45000 should be good for your shop..

I have one of the hot Dawg units in my garage today. It works great. Easy to install too. I did have a problem with the curcuit board on mine, the fan would not go on until the burner basically hit its temp limit and shut off. My understanding is that they have fixed this now. Other than that.........no complaints. Vent through wall or roof. Mine is through the roof, buddies through the wall.
