marathon deck 7' or 8'?

im gonna order a deck tomorrow. its for a shortbox duramax and will be hauling two 151 summit revs. the guy at marathon i talked to suggested the 7' would be better...but i wanna know why. im leaning towards the 8', i think it would look stupid and like a teeter totter with only a foot of track touching on the 7' and the rest hanging off the back. i doubt i would be pulling anything behind either. i would think resale is better on the fullsize since anyone could use it after. this is my first deck, so i wanna know from some guys who have used decks which would be the one to get?

I have never had a sled desk, or will i ever own one... But, it sounds to me like you want the 8': You wont be trailering anything, will accomidate your sled better, will fit trucks with 8' beds also.... I would just get the 8', bigger is almost always better with stuff like that..

BTW, try posting in the mountain forum, they are the ones with sled decks... MTN guys dont spend a lot of time in the general discussion, mostly just us flat landers.
