Hello,
My 2019 Renegade x has served me well for 9500 miles. It has had a hurricane 195 tune since 4500 miles.
Check engine light came on yesterday at WOT while on the lake. Took it to dealer and cleared engine light, code was for low boost pressure. Checked all connections on hoses and everything is tight and looks good.
went back to lake and sled seemed fine for first couple runs.CEL can back on and sled seems to be dumping boost and loosing power at WOT. Does anyone have experience with this? I can’t find any info online and the few techs I have spoke with have not seen this. I am leaning towards the boost pressure sensor or wastegate issues.
thanks

It idles fine. It is all stock, I do not believe that it has a BOV, unless ski Doo hid one somewhere cause I can’t find it.
The sled is acting normal other than lake runs at WOT, it is not going into limp mode. Rpm’s will suddenly drop. It will then seem to run fine until WOT. Symptom is only noticeable at WOT.

Most leaks show themselves at wide open throttle. A boost leak can be caused by many different issues.
Mainfold cracked, air box has a split. Plug on intercooler loose/leaking. Loose clamps seem to be the most common.
I pulled all of the panels and hood at the dealer and we checked everything that we could get to without completely tearing it down. It all seems fine. Would a small leak dump all the boost? RPMs will drop 2000. If I back off the throttle and hit it again it will have full power again. 🤷‍♂️

The clamps need to be very tight.
One clamp that's hard to reach is between the throttle body and air box.
There's also a chance the throttle body has started to separate from the charge tube. (see pic)
If it were my sled I would start by cleaning all the charge tube ends, tighten clamps at room temp. Then tighten them again a few hrs. later. Many add hairspray to the charge tubes to help seal.

Thanks, I will check it out. I checked out your website and I am only an hour away from you. I’ll give you a call this week if I can’t get it figured out.

Is it still making the whoot sounds? On of my riding partners was down on power. He changed the fuel tank sock, filter checked a bunch of stuff. The problem was the little clip that holds the arm on the waste gate had disappeared so the arm wasn’t connected. Fixed that and back to normal

Mine has never made the whoot sounds. It has always been super quiet. This sled has always been a powerhouse and exceptionally fast. It’s odd because it is running normal and will have 100% power…until it doesn’t.

It’s acting like it is telling itself to shutdown because it’s out of safe parameters.

could be knock
could be over/under boost

It appears that I’m going to be the Guinea pig on this one. It’s not cracked, broken, or loose parts. I have yet to talk to anyone who has had similar issues. I guess I will chase gremlins and see what I find. Seems like a good time to upgrade boost tubes, add a bov, and new wastegate. 💯😎
