im assuming its not a rev??? I owned a zx for a few years and i loved it...I wish i still had it. I liked the look of them better then the rev...just something about the zx i liked alot. Never had any problems. It was a really great sled!

I am not a big fan of the 03 rev 600s. That is why I got rid of mine. Other then the ring issue I guess they are not that bad of motor. I also wonder if it is a rev or a ZX. If you doo get the 03 rev 600 ho - get new rings, rejet it, and gear it down. Then it will be good. P.S. I like the new 500 SS motor or old 600 motors. In my opinion those motors were bullet proof, efficient , and great performers.

Those sleds were notorious for being jetted way too rich from the factory. That is why they get such poor gas mileage. I don't know where you ride and elevation you are at so I couldn't suggest a particular jet size but definitely look into dooing some jetting. It will make it run much better. Contact Big John @ Sled Head Racing for jetting info.
