Good day would these springs be of a concern with the rust shown. Just going thru the entire trailer and not sure about this. I could wire brush and spray with some galvanized paint. Any thoughts or comments?

I would have to say replace, you don’t want one of those to break 100 miles from home in the cold too by the way. Shouldn’t be too expensive and I would definitely replace all the hardware.

Never reuse the U bolts. When you tighten a new one it will stretch a bit and when you do that several times they break or start coming loose. Once the springs start to bend in the other direction they are done.

I did not. Just an observation after cutting thru them. For $25 for the set including the plate, why bother.
