I really should stay out of my local BRP dealership. Always expensive. Just went in for rubber grommets for the windshield. Just blew $600 on a new Garmin Tread. Now I need to learn how this thing works.

[/QUOTE. I am guessing that you will utilize the Garmin holder that it came with, installed on your glove box extension pad, and a fused lead to the battery side of the starter solenoid.looks like a nice waterproof unit
Once you get used to it you will be fine. I had a hard time at first, old school, But they are pretty good. The Tread seems a little more off road compared to my Zumo's. But like both. I have the 8-inch Tread also. I really don't think you can go wrong with any of them. Just depends on your needs.I really should stay out of my local BRP dealership. Always expensive. Sometimes I like to escape from the phone. Is there an actual reason to use something like this over your smartphone sitting in the extended heated glove box add-on blue toothed to an inreach? There's so many good detailed map apps out there and my phone has as big of a screen.
Right now I am using my phone bluetoothed for skidoo, boat, atv. For skidooing i can't imagine that thing would live mounted at -50C to -60C here in the Arctic since it would not fit under the heated glovebox cover.
I always have my montana as a backup to the inreach just in the event it dies. Redundancy always.
