I just picked up a 2001 mxz x 800. The sled had v-force reeds and spacers, and it had a set of twin speed werc pipes on it. the sled runs VERY rich on bottom end, and people behind me say going down the trail it is very rich on gas.......its to the point that they cant follow me. The plugs are not black, but not brown either. more inbetween. I took a look at the jets any they are 480's. To solve my problem what size jets should i put in and do i need to do anything with the needles??

Thanks for your help!

Mains are for your top end they wont do a thing on low end, try adjusting your fuel screw by turning it in a half a turn at a time but no more than a turn and a half for idle. this will lean your mixture. If your sled is rich at around 1/4 to 1/2 throttle move your needle clip setting up one postion, this will also lean your mid range, only if its rich around mid throttle.

Best
