I have seen mentioned many times not to use
methyl hydrate, but how about Methanol. I make my own glow-engine fuel and have 50 gallons of M! racing methanol. Can I use this as fuel anti-freeze? Any experience or knowledge? I can only assume that the M1 methanol would be fine, but I want to be sure.

im not a chemical engineer BUT i do know a few things about fuel, DO NOT USE methanol in a stock carb/fuel system, it will eat plastic and everything else. carbs that use meth have been specially prepped to do so! my.02
ps; fyi, gas line antifreeze/drygas is isopropyl alchohol, NOT methanol or rubbing alcohol,etc,etc, there is a big diff!

I thought Methyl Hydrate and Methanol were pretty much the same...

Use Iso., it won't wash the oil off cylinder walls...BAD!!
