My 05' 600HO now has 3900 hard ridden miles on it. I assume the throw away shocks are about there because it bottoms easier in some situations where it didnt last season. I cant afford to put shocks on it until this coming summer so I -

adjusted both front and 1 rear shocks from the bottom setting to the second setting and Put the spring pre-load block on stiffest setting

Question - Have I just created a sled that will ride stiffer but still bottom where it was before the adjustments??

over springing on UNDER DAMPENED shocks will not solve your problems........it may help but you will "POGO" more

You will definitely fell more "kick" all the way around. there really is no cure for worn out shocks besides replace/rebuild
