I buy bent HPG's all the time. Just take it to a reputable machine shop and they can put it straight again. Then get it rebuilt. A Machine shop that has experience fixing lower units for boats is the best.

Save yourself the trouble and look at buying a new shock instead. Kimpex gold are good.
