I used a vacuum taped to a hose but there's still think gummed up mental at tge bottom, i dont want to split the cases should i just keep putting kerosene and flushing?

If you know theres debris down there split the cases. If theres any material in the bearings its very unlikely to get it all out by flushing or blowing compressed air.

While most Doo cranks and cases (you didn't say which engine this was) have seals protecting the center bearings and the mag/pto end bearings, it is always best just to split the case and wash thoroughly. Plus it give you a good chance to inspect the condition of the crank bearings and repack the isoflex grease.

When you are the point of discussing whether or not to open the bottom end, chances are the crank suffered a beating. You also need to know the engine and the integrity of the seals to guess if any fluid from the flush will seep into areas that could contaminate the Isoflex. An 800 may have 4 or 6 Isoflex filled crank bearings. For the oil fed ones I guess you can run 2S oil along the crank webs hoping it makes it to the bearing. If it's a 1000 SDI the crank chambers have a direct path to the mag and pto side chambers that house the counterbalance gears and Isoflex filled bearings. There are 4 bearings per side for a total of 8 Isoflex filled bearings, and 2 oil splash fed center bearing.

Why, why must you always get so technical Daag44?
Just kidding, (a little) I know you know your 'stuff'.

Haha, it is easier than it sounds and harder than it looks

The engine wasn't mentioned so I imagine it was deliberate to avoid any discussion further than a wash. That I understand, but it could be a number of engines that need different considerations. Heck for all I know it could be a Polaris as we do get those engine rebuilds posted on DooTalk.

I imagine that you see enough top end rebuilds posted on DooTalk to see the lower end is often completely filled with coolant. The last time this happened was in the past week or so. After pointing out that removing the coolant from the bottom hose at the pump would prevent the engine from flooding and contaminating the bearings, the OP replied that it was done by a professional that knew what he was doing. Out of respect for the owner it wasn't something that I wanted to argue.

Done a 800 motor years back (ZX chassis) which made it really easy to pull the motor. Once top end and cylinders were off you can see down into cases and inspect for case damage. This wont let you get a good look at bearings so it is important to know why motor went down. In this case it was ran out of oil and squeaked a piston and cylinder. With motor out of sled the bottom half was flipped over to dump the fuel from the cases. Fair bit of aluminum shavings in bottom. Cases were refilled and with a hand on each connecting rod the motor was spun over for a minute and dumped again, this process was repeated several times until there was no visible sign of aluminum shavings, then done a few more times. 2 new pistons, cylinder, and gasket kit. Sled is still going today
