How loud is "The Thing" Cooker can?

I like the idea behind the built in Muff Pot on "The Thing" Cooker can. I am worried about how loud it might be though, since I have never heard one. I don't want a loud can. I ride exclusively in the mountains and kinda like a little more bark than stock, but nothing obnoxious. Can anyone give a comparison between it and other cans? Thanks.

Hey bigair, I don't know about the cooker version but I have a "the thing" can on 2008 Summit 800r ptek and it's not obnoxiously loud. It's a different sound, at idle it makes my ptek sound like an etek (that almost four stroke sound) and at open end its more of a bark then a rip of the mbrp's, jaws or Dynoport cans

I have run the Thing can for quite some time on my etecs. The cooker is a tad quiter then the original Thing and weighs a bit more as well. Summitman is right they don't have the ear drum vibratting sound of some others but do have a bark. Its more noticeable and sounds better then a SLP or a trail version can but not as much as a TSS or SPI Carbo, Jaws, GGB, mbrp etc. I have a bud with an SPI Carbon and you can hear him for quite a ways in our group and with my regular Thing they have a hard time hearing me at a distance. I have about 5000 miles on my Thing and it still works great and hasn't rusted or anything either.

I find mine more annoying on the trail than my ggb mtn can but it's not overly loud riding

The ggb isn't bad at all.. much quieter than the carbon can... I think I'm a collector or mufflers.

Riding in the mountains the cooker isn't loud at all.. barely barks..

The Cooker Can is quieter than the HPS & Bikeman cans. A little loader than the Full SLP Exhaust on my buddy's 08 XP has.

Has a nice tone when on the throttle, at a idle in the shop here is a photo below. Some on my friends sleds are quite a bit loader than the Cooker Can Thing when running in the trailer. Some are painful and I get my sled out first so I dont have to listen to theirs.

I need to do a sound clip of on and off the throttle between the different can of the bunch I ride with. hopefully we get more snow.

Tomorrow I'll install the stock can and doo a sound check in the shop

I have them on sale currently

Over the years of using cookers the out cooks them all.

Not sure if Instagram videos work but here's mine.

It's about the same as an mbrp standard or louder than slp and other trail cans. Quiter than ggb mtn or carbon can etc

sound video link
First black sled has stock can second blue sled has Cooker Can Thing
Cooker Cans usually ship next day or sooner depending on what sled it is for & time of day order was placed, if its say like a 600 Etec adds 1 to 2 days because its built to order
