Well as those that know, it is easy to remove the springs from the front shocks on the sled (might be harder for the 440 or stiffer springs?) but in the rear skid, the front spring is pretty tough to take off without a tool like this...

I had a sled I was working on that needed the spring changed out, so I figured I would weld something up that looked like that in the picture above...works pretty good and does not cost $177.00. I am going to do a stand next for the sled when this batch of tug hil snow melts!!

Here are a few pictures of mine, If there is enough interest, might be able to make a few more up, but I doubt many people take that spring off...let me know..
