I have a Hyperlite and adjustible pins setup for midwest riding. I will be going out west soon and trying to figure out what pin weight I should run. I figured I would drop the same amount of weight out of my adjustible pins as going from solid to hollow pins.. If anyone knows the hollow pins wieght this info would be very helpful. I believe the solid pins are 16.8 grams..

I was at 9000 ft elev the last 2 years with my 600 and had a hard time getting enough revs out of it. Last year was much better. I ran Ski Doo hollow pins and a pink white, or a white pink, pending on which way you look at it. Make sure you gear WAY down as well. I now have an 800 Gade and will be geared at 21/43. I would go lower than that if I were you.

ski doo p/n 417 222 595 hollow pin is 12.4 gm

The hollow pins I have from Goodwin are 13.6 gm

Others vary as well

This sounds better! I was thinking the 9.8 was too light.. I will have to confirm part #s but I think 12.4 sounds rights as that would be a 4.4 gram drop from solid pins (16.8 - 12.4 = 4.4).

Looks like the 12.4 grams (417-222-595) are the threaded pins and I am guessing the 9.8 gram pins are the non-threaded.

RYANZX440 - Do you know what part number these pins are?
