Hey guys,
There is a line, that is either a vent line, or part of the primer system that runs up to the top of the gas tank in the engine bay..There is a rubber fitting that fits in a hole on the tank, mine was ripped and spilling gas onto the top of my air box..I bought a new bushing and it absolutely will not fit in the hole...
Is there a trick to get it in? I have duct tape over the large hole in the tank so I can ride, I NEED to get the stupid thing in! Any help would be appreciated! Frank.

you have to push the rubber bushing into place first then push the vent elbow in.

what he said, I trouble with this to. take the plastic part out of the rubber bushing. Put the rubber bushing in the tank, then press the plastic piece into it

Hey guys,
I removed the plastic piece prior to attempting to install the bushing..It just won't go in! I am even considering taking a razor and shaving some off so it will go in. Nothing pulls on that line, so I don't imagine it need to be held in so tightly...

Thanks for the help guys!
