My close friend who owns a sign shop just finished the wrap my new Oxygen. Really time consuming, with design and wrap probably took 4 hours. Luckily, it only cost me a steak dinner for him and his wife! He said that if I was a paying customer the cost would be about $350 to $400. My design was pretty complicated and that took about 2 hours.
I heard that you shouldn't wear a helmet on your head and just carry it with you because the heat from your head can cause the materials to break down.
Cool looking helmet. Never thought about wrapping one
Its not uncommon in the motocross world. Most of the MX helmets have many lines/breaks in them so the wrap is pieces, not one solid sheet of vinyl, and its typically very thick like a sled or bike wrap, so it would never roll over a helmet in one piece like that. Pretty slick he was able to get it to lay down in what appears to be one solid sheet of vinyl, and have it look good.
