I have a 2016 550 tundra that i had an aftermarket heated seat pad put into the seat.My question is which wire would i tie into to hook the seat up ? The visor plug and the 12 volt plug are both powered all the time i think i should be tied into a wire that is only powered when the key is on so i don"t kill the battery when i forget to turn off the switch ? Thanks

Do you have a wiring diagram? My 2009 Tundra 300 has a 12v AC circuit that is only powered when the engine is running (powers the headlights and heated grips), and a 12v DC circuit that runs off the battery, for the starter, instrument panels etc... that will have power when the engine is not running (key has to be in the on position).

I tied my heated gear into the AC circuit for the same reason you mentioned.

Your visor plug may be tied into an AC circuit if you have one. Easy to test with a light bulb.
