Hey guys,

Has anyone tried the heated riser bag for the XP? If so, what do you think? worth it? is the outlet hard to install?..Any feedback would be awsome..Thanks.

Cheers,

I installed mine on my rev, shouldn't be much different though. I use it to keep my cell phone and camera so they don't get cold. They always got cold and killed the battery in my jacket pocket. Seems to work well for me.

I just put one on my renegade and it looks huge! I installed the gray/black summit one and it looks nothing like the yellow/black one I saw at all the dealers. But I think it will work out nice. It will hold two 20oz bottles on the front side and lots of room for my electronics on the back side. The heater can be put in either side and since I already had the plug in for the elec. shield on my REV it was just a "plug-n-play". I will try and get you a pic later.

Try SHS Powersports on-line for a decent price. I put one on my gade and added a 12v outlet to keep my electronics charged (phone/gps/camera). It works great and was an easy install/connect. The 12v outlet was the hardest to get over punching a hole in the dash but only took 10 minutes...

What is up with the price on the 1 litre, black and yellow bag. It started the year at $59.99 and then jumped to $89.99 online?

What are people paying?

I used mine all last year, didn't feel warm, but didn't freeze like my phone and other stuff would in an outside pocket. Cell phone kept it's charge, camera didn't fog or lose it's charge. I don't know how warm it's suppose to get, but I haven't noticed any warmth, but it seems to work.

There is a running change in the part numbers that superseeds the old one. The problem is the old one was simple plug and play no holes to drill and plug in was right near air intake tube. The new version uses RCA type connection from a dash mount to your new bag While this is nice IF you have or want a heated visor (same connection and the new bag comes with 1 to 2 splitter so you use both if needed) THe new bag still comes with the wiring to tie into the sleds harness, but it adds another step in installing. The XP have a easy to locate spot to install these on the left of the steering post on the console. (can be found easily when the plastic is removed and looked at from the underside. Instructions are easy to read and neither of then are hard at all to install ... I have now installed both on our XPs. Since my wife may end up going to the heated visor on her modular helmet it'll already be wired in.

Here are the pics I promised of the gray/black Summit Riser Bag And one of my new Rigid Trunk Bag. I?m also having a bag custom made to fit under the rear tail of my Boss seat and that should be here later this week. FYI: I bought my riser bag for $84 shipped on ebay a few weeks back.

I have the same bag as in the photo. It wasn't as big as I expected on the inside, but holds phone and camera just fine. They don't get warm but do keep things from freezing up. If it was too warm the lip balm would melt all over the camera lol. I had mine installed so I still have the plug in for the visor.

Couldnt you just get the replacement heater element and put it in a bag that you already have.

Riser Block Bag - 3W Heater for Bags (replacement for additional heater for the heated bags)
