How do you remove the heat sheild from the Y pipe? Just remove the springs? or???

yeah thats all i did, far as i can tell the top and bottom are identical too

Yup pull the springs and it will come off, springs are pretty tight, just took mine off yesterday to put new bolts in that came out, I am leaving it off too.
