Happy B-Day to ME!

Friday the guys at Intense sent me my new M3 crash replacement frame (the old M1 was too bent to ride anymore so just HAD to upgrade since today is my B-day) and I got her built up on Saturday. Sunday just raged on her at Timberline (yeah, there were actually skiers out already) and then to Ski Bowl for their last day of lift assisted runs on the sport and expert downhill courses. She just RAGES!!! 8" front and 9.5" fox coil over/air bladder rear suspension travel is about as much as I have in my sleds!!! Can get in WAY over my head now! My friends race and were pretty surprised to see me keeping up with them yesterday. Anyone else here into downhill bikes???

Have FUN!!!

PS - My sis sent me a can of Map-O-Spread from Canada. My mother (Canadian) used to give us that on our toast when we were kids. Being in the states we no longer had access to it. This is the first time in 20 years I've had the stuff - it's like gewd drugs - you just won't understand unless you've tried it!

cool bike
I ride a Foes Fly. I can only see the frame in your second picture. What fork and components are you running? If you are in Portland, I'm sure you've made the trek up to Whistler? I used to manage a bike shop, so that's why I have the high end stuff, otherwise I couldn't afford it. My 13 yr old son rides pretty well too, I have to upgrade his bike next year. Probably going to get him a Rocky Mtn Switch for his next ride.

One more:
Wow-That kinda looks like a PK.Ripper, I used to own back in the 80's.....
what is up with that seat angle??
That's because the bike is on flat ground which is NOT the case when in use - also has a larger front tire and raised bars for the same reason - levels the bike out on really steep runs to keep you more in control. If you tried riding your Trek XC bike on the runs we do you'd be flying over the bars.

SledMXer, my buddy rides a Fly and loves it and he uses it for all Mtn riding too.
As for my build - used some of the stuff off my old M1 due to cash flow reasons. Fork is a Stratos S8. XTR short cage der and shifter, new Truvativ Holzfeller cranks, Howitzer BB, soon to have E13 chainguide, Fox DHX 5.0 rear shock, new WTB laser disc DH rims with Hadley hubs (150mm rear dropouts w/ 12mm thru axle). Hayes 8"disc brakes with Galfer wave rotors (make the junky Hayes a respectable brake!). Hope to have a new Boxxer Team or World Cup for next year's race season.

Have FUN!

I ride BMX Myself....Poverty Buck 99

This is an old pick...I now have lowered the seat as low as it goes, found out that was best for me....Also now has: Odyssey Jimmy Levan signature grips, red Stolen allow bar ends, and a Shadow sprocket with bash gaurd.....

After Christmas I am going to have Black Triple wall rims, Odyssey Linear brake cable, Possibly some new pedals, A Maxxis Ringworm tire in the back, and over the summer I would like to have a new frame and fork....

Pic of the sprocket:

My bike is a work in progress, the only thing I dont like about it is that it is pretty heavy....
