I've heard of guys sprying foam inside of the bars (Great Stuff) is a brand I've hear talked about, it is used for insulating small cracks but all you would need to do is spray it in your bars. Hope I could help.

The foam trick is a good one, a wooden dowel will insulate well also, the grips come off by twisting them back and forth and pulling, not hard at all. Add another set in the bar like the old way, Dennis Kirk has these, make a new switch and you are on fire!!!
