I have an 02 mxz 700 that the right grip heater stopped working. Can anybody tell me the testing procedure with a meter? Not sure if i did it correctly. There are 3 wires. I used the black and yellow as ground and the orange and orange and purple as the hots. On high, i have voltage to both. On low i have voltage to one. But no heat. Any other tricks?

So that's telling you that the sled & switch are providing correct power.
You need to use a continuity meter and check for resistance..... if none found the heater had a hot spot and burnt itself clear.

There should be a few connectors associated with the grip heaters.
Unplug the connectors and test on the grip side of the connector for continuity.
Compare the warm side grip to the cold grip to compare for proper readings.

So continuity should be tested between the negative and each positive?

Thats the problem. Took the grip heater off and tested for continuity. None until i started bending the wires back and forth then i would get glitchy continuity on and off. New one will be here tomorrow 😉. Thanks for the input!
