Great dogs

I adopted this pitbull from a rescue and she is the sweetest dog ever. I looked at kinds of breeds and breeders and thought about spending thousand of dollars and what not, But decided to adopt a dog that needed a home and am happy I did. Come home and she greets me at the door and snuggles up when watching tv. She is a great dog.
Share you family pet pics, I wanna hear about them.

Had a collie shepherd mix as a kid. She was always chasing squirrels. One day she finally caught one and killed it in the process of catching it. She just laid there staring at it and crying. Never chased one after that.
Obi hasn’t caught one yet. We’re not sure what he’d do with one if he did.

Dixie has caught a couple. She bites until the squeaker stops. She will kill mice also. I’ve seen her pick a nest apart and pinch each baby to kill it.

The dogs caught a small ground hog once and snuffed it out. I assume it was Dixie that killed it.

Obi would probably just toss the squirrel in the air sideways and then watch it run away when it landed again.
Our dog has spent her whole life chasing squirrels and rabbits, never caught one yet.

She’s lucky, if she ever caught one it would absolutely kick her a$$.

70 lb lab cross but big time city dog.

It’s free entertainment every time she goes out.

Yep. The little guy drug it out from under the deck and shook it to death.

Someone is being moody because he didn’t get to go to the school this morning for drop-off. Wifey has to make a stop at the grocery store on the way home so she didn’t take him with her. He loves “going to school” because he gets to see lots of people so on the days he doesn’t get to go he pouts. 😆

Yep. We’re a bunch of meanies. 😆

And a hound’s face and tail can’t hide his emotions. 😛
We do like to socialize him as much as possible. He’s still learning “manners” but he’s not a mean dog at all. If anything, he’s over-friendly and sometimes doesn’t know boundaries, especially when he’s excited and his still-puppyish brain shuts off. He is getting better though. It’s the jumping up habit that we’re working on. At least when he does do that he’s gentle and doesn’t try to bowl the person over, but we don’t want him doing it at all unless invited to do so. It just takes time and consistency.
