Wildlife refuge cabins are really nice. Little pricey. They are in south range, little south of houghton.

In houghton, just over the bridge to the left is a nice hotel. Dont remember the name. Its across from a dealer if you need parts or repairs.

Little farther north, in calumet, there is a hotel right on the trail. Again, cant remember the name, sorry.

Im sure you will get many suggestions. Have a good trip.

Just over the Bridge in Houghton Hancock is the Ramada Inn (nice place)

In Calumet we stay at the AmericInn (very nice place)

Twin Lakes we stay at Krupps. (nice)

Wild Life Refuge Cabins are very nice (just a touch pricey)

American inn has a few rooms. I wouldn't mind it. Guys didn't want to pay that much. 147-167 a night for the rooms. Krupps is booked.

No problem. We stayed there last year and rented a couple of the cottages as both houses were full already. They gave us a tour of one of the houses and we'd definitely stay in a house the next time if available. The owners are real nice and helpful as well.

The cottages are nice...but small. If you have 5 going you're going to need TWO cottages. When we stayed there we had 6 total with 2 cottages...it worked out well...you wouldn't want more than 3 to a cottage.

Looks like they sleep 5. We may only have 3 or 4 people now though.

Did they have the twin beds above the queen beds in the rooms when you were there?

Yes, both of the cottages we rented were set up the same. In the bedroom there was a queen bed with a twin bed above it and then the pull out sofa in the living room. I guess technically you could sleep 5 in there depending on how cozy you wanted to get; however, even if the sleeping situation was acceptable to all I would think that with 5 guys in such a little spot you'd be tripping all over each other all the time.

Ramada in Hancock is nice and decently priced. The casino in watersmeet is ok and cheap but stinks like smoke. Both have food and night life attached which is a plus.
