I purchaced a set of ski-doo short 90 j-hooks for my sled last year for about $40 can't remember exactly they have worked great and have not come lose. I bought the short 90's so that I could still slip on a par of gauntlets if I wanted to. I also have the powermadd pivot adaptor and 2" pivot risor it gives a total rise of about 3-1/4". That seemed to be about as tall a you can go with the stock throttle cable and brake line.
They must make bigger brake lines and throtle cables when they make X's becaus emy '04 X come factory with 5" risers and I'am told you can go anothger 2-3" without any new lines or cables.
I have the short 90 and love them.
Friend has long 90 & 45 and loves them.
Personal opinion only!

J-hooks are great, get them for sure.

They also help when you throw your sled on it's side to checkstuff out. The hooks hit before your shield hits.

The X has a 4" riser, but the bars are straight compared to the bent bars onthe trail & Adrenaline models.
I believe the X has a steel braided brake line as well which is a bit longer. Some move the brake cable behind the oil cap to lengthen the brake cable.

That is exactly what I had to do, move the brake cable so that it is routed above the oil fill. I do have the curved bars which probably add about 2" more rise.
Here is a pic. of my 9"(Ha!Ha!)!!
2" ROX Anti Vib & 7" DOO Summit X 06.
They work great for me.
