I have a set of Spy goggles and love them but they are a little older now and I'm thinking it may be time to upgrade. So what's the best out there now?
At half the price of the 'cool ones', and lenses are less the $20 a piece.I'll be the first to admit I have a bit of a goggle fetish, almost like a woman with shoes but the new Scott Prospect snow goggles are no doubt my all-time favorite to date, huge f o v and excellent colors for flat light conditions not to mention a much wider face foam than other brands for an excellent seal against your face, zero fogging, excellent goggles!
hey b, what helmet are you using with the oakley goggles ? what model oakley are you using ? there are several prizm lenses, i wouldn't know where to start. i might get a couple for different conditions, but they are pricey. thanksOakley with prizm lenses or smith with chromapop lenses work best.
I have a motorfist dominator (kali prana) helmet with Oakley Line Miner's. The fit is OK but not great. I will likely be going to an Airoh or Suomy this season.hey b, what helmet are you using with the oakley goggles ? what model oakley are you using ? there are several prizm lenses, i wouldn't know where to start. i might get a couple for different conditions, but they are pricey. thanks
I agree, fitment is everything with goggles and helmets. If it fits bad youll hate your life, and hate the goggles. Definetly go in and try on a few pairs with your facemask and helmet.I think you're going to see a handful of common brands/models pop up; but the reality is that unless your helmet, head, preferences etc are the same, you really need to experiment for yourself to find out what works best for you. For example- I've read comments on here saying how much people love the Scott goggles for the price, but they worked awful for me. Does it make them bad goggles? Absolutely not. I've found that 509 Sinister X5's work really well overall for me, but others will say they absolutely suck. Same scenario there too. See what I mean? Best thing to do it a take the plunge and try some t figure out what works best for you, and understand that you might not hit the bulls eye with your first dart.
For only $11.95 I'd buy one.Forget Goggles get one of these! This was from the '70's, somehow it never caught on.
