hey guys just wondering what you guys run as far as gears. I have a 98 mach z and was at the dealer yesterday and he told me to run 28/43 I have 27/43 in it now. Have any of you run this combo he told me i would pick up 5 to 7mph on top end but how much am I going to losse on bottom. I really dont need to go 5 to 7mph faster Have anyone went down on the top gear and does this really help your bottom end that is what i am looking for. any setups would be great thanks .

gear 25-43 is good It will probably be very good at bottom end and maybe gained 4 to 5 mph . 28-43 is too tall of a gearing.

22/43 might not work but 22/44 should. that is what the race hand book say's. but it is not a good ratio to because you will use all of you tensioner and will brake it eazy. try to find a gear ratio that use's the lest amount of tensioner.

it is just better not to use all of the tensioner. to much angle in the chain will slow you down and can brake the chain of the tensioner.
